02 - What is included in Unidas Protections?

    1. Partial Protection (PP) (Not included in the daily rate) When you contract Partial Protection the vehicle will be covered against partial risks in case of collision, fire, robbery or total loss being mandatory a take part by the renter. 2. Special Protection (SP) (Not included in the daily rate) When you contract Special Protection the vehicle will be covered against partial risks in case of collision, fire, robbery or total loss being mandatory a take part by the renter. The difference between Special and Partial protection is on the mandatory take part by the renter. In the first one it’s half. 3. Super Protection (SP) (Not included in the daily rate) It covers similarly the risks mentioned above but also injuries to the passengers of the rented vehicle and damages and/or injuries to another car and their passengers (analog to Protection to Passengers and Outsiders) but with very minor values on the take part asked in Special Protection and Partial Protection. This protection is available at all shops and groups of vehicles. 4. Junior Protection (JP) (Not included in the daily rate) The Junior Protection allows a renter or additional driver with a driver license with less than two years, who wouldn’t be permitted to rent a car, to do it. It covers risks to the rented vehicle same way to Partial Protection and Special Protection and also damages and injuries as the PPO so you don’t need to contract any other protection. Therefore Junior Protection offers the same coverage of Super Protection but the mandatory take part is the same of Partial Protection. The Junior Protection is available only in the shops and besides selecting it they are obligated to inform the interested renter and/or driver who fits the conditions mentioned above. All electronic confirmation of reserves (at the bottom of the page in Unidas Portal) has a note with the following information: “In case the renter or any of the additional drivers mentioned in the Rental Contract has a less than two years Driver License the protection selected at the reservation will be automatically replaced by Junior Protection (specific for this profile) at the moment of making the rental in the shop and no modification will be allowed on the amount to be paid for it”. Our Central Reserve Center will take the same procedures. 5. Protection to Passengers (PP) (Not included in the daily rate) Coverage against injuries to passengers of the vehicle in case of accident limited to R$ 20.000,00 per passenger. 6. Protection to Outsiders (PO) (Not included in the daily rate) Partial coverage up to R$ 30.000,00 for damages and R$ 50.000,00 for injuries in case of accidents with the rented vehicle involving outsiders no matter how many people in the other car or involved in the accident. It’s mandatory to the renter a taking part of up to R$ 1.000,00 for all rentals independently of group. 7. Protection to Passengers and Outsiders (PPO) (Not included in the daily rate) Passengers of the rented vehicle: coverage of injuries to them in case of accident limited to R$ 20.000,00 per passenger. It’s mandatory a take part of the renter of up to R$ 1.000,00 for all groups of cars. Outsiders: this protection offers partial coverage up to R$ 30.000,00 for damages and up to R$ 50.000,00 for injuries in case of accidents with a rented vehicle which involves other people. PPO can’t be contracted alone and must always be associated to PP (Partial Protection) and SP (Special Protection).
